1. Who is Beth’s mother?

The show never truly reveals or deals with Beth’s mother, so it is only natural to have so many fan theories speculating who she is.

One popular theory suggests, Unity from the episode “Auto Erotic Assimilation” is her real mother. It has been suggested Rick and Unity had an affinity in the past. It is safe to assume they mated and Beth came into existence.

2. Who is the evil Morty?

The evil Morty has become one of the primary centers of the show. He has totally changed the course of the show and has maintained a sense of mystery behind his motivation and origin.

One theory says evil Morty is the Morty from the opening who is left behind by Rick.

Morty somehow survived the ordeal and vowed to take his revenge.

Another theory suggests, Rick and Morty have switched their bodies. The retarded Rick is actually Morty and Rick has taken over Morty’s body. The possible reason is to deceive others, but the motivation to do this is not clear yet.

3. Rick and Jerry are still in the simulation?

The episode, “M. Night Shaym-Aliens!” shows a couple of turns and twists.

It is believed that even though they might believe they have escaped from the simulation, but in fact, they are still stuck in the simulation.

In one of the episodes, Rick even threatens and asks Morty if he is a stimulation.

On the other hand, it is highly possible that Rick is aware he is still stuck in the simulation and he is simply playing along. He is pretending not to realize the truth but he knows, after all, he is the smartest person in the universe.

4. Gravity Falls?

It has been made clear that Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls take place in the same universe. It has been hinted on the show itself, and even the show creators of both the show have admitted so.

It is safe to assume that Morty grew up and become Blenjamin Blandin, a time traveler who works to correct anomalies in that occur in his timeline.

5. Are the show creators messing with us?

It has been established that the Rick and Morty we usually see are from the universe C-137.

But what if, the focus of the show shifted from the Rick and Morty of C-137 to Rick and Morty of some other universe?

In the episode “Total Rickall”, Mr. Poopybutthole was introduced for the first time. According to Rick’s theory, imaginary characters won’t die or bleed, but when Beth shoots Mr. Poopybutthole, he bleeds.

It is clear that we are seeing a story from some other universe where Mr. Poopybutthole is an original member of the family.

In the episode “Mortynight Run”, Rick and Morty drop off their Jerry and take a ticket that says 5126.

It is possible that the show actually runs a parallel story of Rick and Morty from two different universes.
